Integrated Genomics in Pediatric Oncology Emerging Research Group – Jean-Baptiste Alberge, Gustave Roussy

Louise Decoopman is a biological engineer in the “Integrated Genomics in Pediatric Oncology” research group at Gustave Roussy. She joined the team in September 2026, where she contributes to cancer genomics projects, with a particular focus on wet-lab development and experimental workflows supporting pediatric oncology research.

She graduated from the EBI (École de Biologie Industrielle) and completed a double-degree Master’s program at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC). Throughout her training, she gained experience across a range of molecular biology and omics applications. During an internship at GEOMAR, she investigated Arctic Ocean phytoplankton populations using lipidomics-based approaches. She later joined Eurofins Laboratoire Microbiologie Ouest, where she contributed to the development of an NGS workflow for species-level identification of molds.
